Principal + Founder
Courtney’s career exemplifies a lifelong commitment to service, leadership, and social impact. Her professional journey began as an Investigator for Child Protective Services in North Georgia, where she developed a deep dedication to public service. Driven by a passion for education, she became a New York City Teaching Fellow, earning a Master’s in Special Education from Pace University while teaching high school students navigating emotional and physical trauma.Beyond the classroom, Courtney extended her commitment to education empowerment by volunteering with nonprofits in Brooklyn, NYC, and Uganda, advocating for equitable access to learning opportunities. After meeting her husband, an active-duty Army service member, she transitioned from education to nonprofit development, blending her passion for service with strategic leadership.
Courtney’s expertise is supported by distinguished credentials, including a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Pennsylvania’s Fels School of Government, the Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) certification, and completion of Syracuse University's V-WISE program through the Institute for Veterans and Military Families. She serves on the advisory board of Project Recover, is a member of CHIEF, and supports military families as a Senior Advisor for the Soldier and Family Readiness Group.
With over 15 years of experience driving mission-focused initiatives, Courtney has played a pivotal role in advancing causes through strategic development, capacity building, and authentic leadership. As the former Chief Development Officer for the Travis Manion Foundation and Founder of Catalyst Impact Solutions, she has built sustainable programs that amplify impact. She is also a respected national speaker on veterans' issues, military family resilience, and living authentically.
Amid her professional achievements, Courtney finds joy in family life as a proud mom of three energetic boys. She cherishes SEC football Saturdays and uses her sense of humor to foster meaningful connections and break down barriers, staying true to her mission of creating positive, lasting change.

Lead Advisor
Tonya Murphy is Armed Forces Insurance’s 2023 Navy Spouse of the Year and previously the Director of Corporate and Foundation Partnerships for Travis Manion Foundation where she utilized her top five character strengths of humor, fairness, teamwork, kindness and creativity to support corporate partners and build community. In her 20 years of experience serving the military community through volunteer and nonprofit work, she has engaged through a variety of roles including mentor, advocate, programmatic manager, and fundraiser. Tonya has spent over two decades as a military spouse embracing the motto, “Join the Navy, see the world” as her family has moved up and down the east coast, to Guam, Naples, Italy, and their current homes in Virginia.
Building authentic connections and relationships, and speaking up to address the challenges of military life, while also celebrating the gifts that it offers, are incredibly important to Tonya. She knows firsthand the additional challenges that are faced by many diverse military families and advocates for equity across all areas of military life. She appreciates the power to connect and relate to others that comes from storytelling and shared experiences, striving to always see and hear those around her and serve as a microphone, amplifying the voices of fellow family members.
Tonya believes that learning, both formal and informal, is a lifelong endeavor. She has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, a Master of Science degree in Counseling from University of Memphis, a Post-Master’s Certificate in Counseling from The George Washington University, and is constantly pursuing opportunities to expand her knowledge through individual courses and certifications.
Tonya’s favorite thing in the world is enjoying a good belly laugh, and outside of work you can most likely find her doing just that with her husband, three sons, and their ridiculously spoiled goldendoodles and cat.
